For Honor developer Ubisoft explores the game's third year

Here’s a look at the first of four new heroes coming to For Honor this year. For Honor Year 3 kicks off soon, and today Ubisoft provided a look at one of the new heroes: Vortiger the Black Prior. Vortiger is a heavy class of Knight that likes to bash opponents with a giant kite shield and off them with a longsword. The Black Prior Vortiger will be available for all Year 3 Pass holders on January 31. Those without a pass can unlock him on February 7 for 15,000 Steel.

The Black Prior is a new Dark Hero who will be joining the Knight Faction in For Honor with the launch of Year 3, Season 1 on the 31st January 2019. It is this Season which will bring four new Heroes, new maps, seasonal events and gameplay updates along the way, with the first batches gearing up to release.

Especially when going up against two or more opponents at once. I don’t ever see myself being good with Black Prior, the same way I’ve never been good with say, Mortal Kombat’s Scorpion. But few things are more satisfying than successfully spearing someone’s neck and whipping them across the screen. Black Prior’s shield flip is the same way. Win or lose, you know when you successfully shield flipped someone. Reliable Online Store Mmocs.com sells Cheap For Honor Steel Credits, Safe and Fast Service guaranteed 100%.

The plan for the Year of the Harbinger consists of four separate seasons spanning from the end of January to April, May to July, August to October, and November into 2020. The beginning of each season will see Ubisoft release an all-new hero, with season one — called Vortiger — giving players a new Knight hero. New Samurai, Viking, and Wu Lin heroes will land in seasons two, three, and four, respectively.

For all their gothy brooding, the Black Prior is a defensive, supportive class. They’ve got a special block stance which can be used to auto-counter anything short of a Guard Break attack, and a defensive slash which can be used as a feint. Their biggest special abilities are a ranged heal (at the expense of your own health), and a squad armour buff. The Black Prior are the first of four planned classes for this year, with a Samurai coming next, followed by a Viking and wrapping up with a new Wu Lin by year’s end, according to Ubi’s 2019 roadmap.

For Honor players have been begging for another shield-wielding hero, so Vortiger will undoubtedly be a popular new main character once the season kicks off. If you’re itching to see some gameplay, fear not. Ubisoft will be hosting a special “Warrior’s Den” livestream on January 24 at 9:00 am PT on the For Honor Twitch channel. There, Vortiger will see a proper reveal along with the rest of Season One’s new content, including the new “Harbor” map, which will also debut for all For Honor players on January 31.
